In the first half-hour, Lucía Oliva Hennelly is an interdisciplinary problem solver and collaboration catalyst passionate about creating solutions at the intersections of climate change and social justice. As an environmental professional and strategic partnerships consultant, Lucía's expertise is in cultivating authentic, durable collaborations that enable us to meet the demands the ecological crisis places on us individually and collectively. Lucía is currently a Spiritual Ecology Fellow with Kalliopeia Foundation and, though traveling frequently for personal and professional projects, she calls home the redwood studded Santa Cruz mountains south of San Francisco.

In the second half-hour, Tiokasin welcomes back Keala Kelly from Hawai’i. Keala is an award winning, Native Hawaiian filmmaker and journalist. Her feature length documentary, “Noho Hewa: The Wrongful Occupation of Hawai’i,” has been screened and broadcast internationally and is widely taught in university courses that focus on colonization, Indigenous cultures, and the Pacific. She has been a keynote speaker and guest panelist at conferences and universities throughout Hawai’i, the U.S., and New Zealand; and she is a Ted Scripps Environmental Journalism fellow. Keala’s broadcast journalism has aired on Al Jazeera,The News Hour With Jim Lehrer and the Pacifica Network, and her published reporting and commentary, on subjects ranging from Hawaiian politics and sovereignty to indigenous representation in mass media, have appeared in the Honolulu Civil Beat, Indian Country Today Media Network, The Nation and the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
